Thing 2, take 3

Yes, this is the 3rd time I've tried to post this. the first time I thing I didn't save it before I posted it, and the second time I lost my internet connection and couldn't get it back.

So, what do I hope to get out of 23 things? I'd like to be able to find out any time there's something new online about lung cancer or cancer trials without having to do google searches
every week, by having the information come to me. I'd like to be able to post pictures
quickly and easily and send them through email. Currently it takes me 30 minutes to attach the first picture, and 45 minutes to post another. Dial up is way to slow, but in my rural area it's still
the only option.

My worry with Library 2.0 is that is will be too complicated, often for no clear reason. for instance, if I sign up for Overdrive, why do I have to keep the material for 3 weeks. If I had only a casual interest in something I wouldn't want to keep it for that long and be denying some one else access.

Creating my avatar was a lot of fun. It was like playing with paper dolls.
It just isn't very intuitive. I had to keep referring to Phil's directions. On to thing 2!

I wasn't quite able to finish thing 1. But since I'm a day late and a dollar short I thought I should do my first post. Two steps gave me trouble. the first problem was getting the pages to open up. This may be asking a lot of a dial-up connection. I never did find a section called time zone setting.
